RiRi Woo

Thursday, August 22, 2013

I woke up this morning thankful for so many things in life.  One of them being the fact that my hair was  not dry and limp from yesterday's humidity.  It's the little things we take for granted. I wore this outfit on my birthday and never had time to take some real photos so I am posting some today.  Let me start by saying that I love every shade of Rihanna's MAC lipstick, but RiRi Woo is my favorite.  The color is so vibrant and can spice up any outfit.  My everyday makeup includes eyeliner, mascara, bronzer and a lipstick.  I'm thinking about posting a video on my daily makeup routine.  My outfit was also inspired by Rihanna (one of my fashion icons). Enjoy!

Life Is A Beach

Friday, August 16, 2013

I took a trip to Sandy Point Beach this weekend with my girls.  To celebrate my birthday, we relaxed in the sand and soaked up some sun.  I was so excited to play with my new birthday gift (the Canon Rebel camera).  The water looks polluted but the view was beautiful nonetheless.  Oh yeah, and this was my first time on a speed boat.  Such a blast!

My bikini is from H&M (last summer's collection).  The retro style cat-eye sunglasses are from Forever21 (HERE)

Don't you love Joie's swimsuit by Kendall & Kylie?? She got it from PacSun!

Gold Stripe Magazine Feature

Tuesday, August 6, 2013

It was a pleasure to work with Shannon from Gold Stripe Magazine, an online periodical that provides a means of cultural convergence, beginning with young multicultural women. Once you check out their LookBook, you will see the distinct difference between fashion and style.  This compilation of photographs showcases a variety of trendy individuals.  You can check out my feature, and see where I got my apparel from HERE.

Hybrid Style

Friday, June 21, 2013

I am in LOVE with this sandal/ankle-boot hybrid shoe from the ASOS collection.  While surfing the web this week I stumbled upon these killer shoes on WhoWhatWear. At that moment I knew that I had to have these boots, but they were out of stock!  I've been checking up on the ASOS Attack Leather Cut Out Gladiator Ankle Boots ever since, and today I was blessed to find that ASOS restocked the item.  When I came across this boot (they only restocked them in my size by the way) I immediately made the purchase.  See what this rant is all about and check out my new kicks!

I absolutely love how Kat Collings from WhoWhatWear pairs this sandal/boot with all white.  Perfect for the summer and completely on trend! I cannot wait to wear mine! Be on the look out for another restock HERE.

New Obsession. TheHunt.com!

Tuesday, June 18, 2013

I had to inform you all of this new site called The Hunt.  Searching for those items that you see your favorite celebrity rocking has never been so easy! The Hunt community helps other users to find whatever it is they are looking for.  From Jessica Alba's trendy stilettos to Rihanna's killer pigmented lipstick, The Hunt community will be on the look out for you.  I enjoy this collective experience of attaining a common goal and the "you scratch my back, I'll scratch yours" mentality.

If you're wondering how it works, it's quite simple.  Just post a photo along with some details on what you are searching for. Soon, users will take action, and post links to where you can find your desired items! I'm so excited to use this website. Sign up today at The Hunt!

Side note: I purchased three lip colors from Rihanna's MAC line today! RiRi Woo, RiRi Boy, and Heaux are the vibrant colors featured in Rihanna's "RiRi Hearts MAC" collection.  I will certainly post photos when these items come in the mail.  Stay tuned!

My Photo-Shoot With Marc J

Tuesday, May 7, 2013

What a wonderful experience I had working with Marc J on this 60's inspired shoot! This was not planned at all.  Initially, we came together to snap some head shots for my best friend/ MUA, Ashley Bigelow.  When he saw my outfit, Marc J conceived the brilliant idea of shooting near an antique car in his neighborhood.  The femininity of my pale pink ensemble juxtaposed with the ruggedness of the aged Chevy.  I must say, I am thrilled that he decided to conduct this photo-shoot with me, knowing that I have no modeling experience.  Here are some of the shots!

DIY (Bedazzled Sunglasses)

Tuesday, April 23, 2013

Today I was looking for a way to put a creative spin on my old, boring sunglasses that I hadn't worn in years.  I was browsing through Etsy.com when I stumbled upon a collection by SweetOnTheEyes.  Her pieces are amazing! If you are a fan of the hipster look, you will certainly love these flower girl sunnies.  With that said, I tried my hand at recreating these looks.  My first pair was inspired by the free spirit sensation.  The second pair was inspired by Chanel, more chic and sophisticated.  After picking up some pearls and flower cabochons from Michael's, I was ready to take on this project.  Check it out!

Here's what I used (all from Michael's):
E-6000 Quick Hold Contact Adhesive
Recollections Adhesive Rhinestones
Pearl Crafting Beads
Martha Stewart Mini Cherry Blossom Embellishments
Tweezers
Thin Eyeliner Brush
