This morning I was reminded that God is able and willing to exchange beauty for our ashes.  God will shine light on your situation, no matter how dark or lonely you may feel.  Remember that.  I was talking to a friend who is going through many trials in her life right now, and it made me want to start sharing my takeaways from my daily devotions.  You never know what people are going through, so don't be quick to judge.  I am always delighted when people feel comfortable enough to pour out their hearts to me.  Even on your worst day, looking good can make you feel better.  That is what I love about fashion and beauty!  I can help a woman look and more importantly feel beautiful!  Anyway, here are some photos of my friend Joie (she's not the girl I was just talking about).  I styled and did her makeup for her hot date.  Check her out!

Today was a "throw on a T-shirt and go" day. Back in high school, I purchased this tee from Urban Outfitters and it has become one of my favorites.  It's old, worn, and has so much personality. I actually found it in the men's section.  I paired it with my mid length coat from H&M and a vintage necklace to incorporate some femininity.  You will definitely see this brown satchel again.  It has its own story to tell.

Time to bring out the faux fur ladies! How cute is this ombre faux fur vest? I usually don't wear fur, however this one was extremely comfortable and easy to throw on. Pairing this vest with a long sleeve top underneath would be ideal, but I didn't have one on hand. With that said, I still think I would wear the vest this way again, even though I was cold. I promise I'm not photoshopped in the third image. Enjoy!

Once again, some late night shenanigans turned into a photo op. This vintage Hermes necklace is subtle, yet it gives me a huge boost of confidence. How can you go wrong when constructing your outfit with black as your palette?  It works every time, and it is very hard to ruin a black ensemble.  I can see this look with a darker lipstick.  What do you think?
